St. Walburga

Located in the small Bavarian town of Beilngries, St. Walburga is a popular destination for day trips and a great place to visit for those interested in history and art. The construction of the church began in 1742 and it was certified as completed in 1760. Inside, the walls are filled with interesting frescoes and the altar is decorated with several high-quality, Baroque sculptures. The steeple provides a panoramic view of the surrounding area. Outside of the church, the graveyard is often visited and it is one of the earliest graveyard in the region. For a taste of local culture, visitors can take part in the traditional procession that takes place every May. There are also several restaurants, bakeries and cafes in the area for those who want to enjoy a Bavarian experience.
