Sobieszów

The charming Polish town of Jelenia Gora offers visitors a beautiful landscape and rich historical sights. One of its most interesting attractions is Sobieszów - Zamek Chojnik, a medieval ruin situated above the city. Built in 1292, the castle was first owned by a wealthy family of knights, and later passed through many hands. The complex consists of two residential towers flanking the main building, along with a protective wall and an old chapel. Inside the castle you will find an exhibition about the history of the castle, as well as stunning views of the mountain ranges surrounding the site. Hikes through the surrounding forests are also available, and are a great way to explore the area's natural beauty.
