Shrine of the Grotto of the Redemption

The Shrine of the Grotto of the Redemption in West Bend, United States, is a spectacular sight, featuring nine grottos, each containing detailed replicas of shrines and other features from the Holy Land. The centerpiece is the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto, containing hundreds of semi-precious stones. The Shrine of the Grotto of the Redemption was built by German immigrant, Father Paul Dobberstein, over the course of almost four decades. Visitors can admire the shimmering mosaics and colorful projections, as well as a majestically-preserved set of papal flags bestowed upon the shrine by Pope Pius X. From the front courtyard, to its lower grounds, the Shrine of the Grotto of the Redemption is an incredible display of artistry and devotion.
