San Francisco and Mount Tamalpais East Peak is an exceptional destination, located in the Marin Headlands in Mill Valley, California. The main attraction is Mount Tamalpais, whose East Peak offers stunning views of the city of San Francisco, the San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge from 1,898 fts above sea level. The entire park is a great area to explore, providing excellent vehicle roads as well as many hiking trails, a stream, and plenty of green meadows and chaparral vegetation. On clear days, one can also spot the Farallon Islands and the Northern California coast. At the top of the peak, visitors will find a chalet that provides restrooms, a museum and a restaurant. This place is ideal for outdoor activities, such as hiking, horseback riding and even biking! From Mount Tamalpais, you can take a classic hike to much of what Marin County has to offer.
