Roman Bridge of Córdoba - SpainzekareshRoman Bridge of Córdoba📍 SpainThe Roman Bridge of Córdoba, also known as Puente Romano, is an incredibly beautiful, historical bridge in Andalusia, Spain. The bridge connects the main part of the city, La Ciudadela, with the old Moorish quarter, La Judería. It was built in the early 1st century AD to replace a former bridge made of wood, possibly destroyed by the Roman presence in the area. Although there was an earlier wooden bridge in the place where it currently stands, the current structure is indisputably the work of the Romans. Its sixteen semi-circular arches linking two sides of the Guadalquivir river have made the bridge one of the most thoughtful architectural buildings that remain in Andalusia. The paved road running along the bridge is still in use, although the main flow of traffic is now directed to the new bridge further upstream. All in all, it is a remarkable example of Roman bridge architecture, worthy of being explored and admired.🗺 KartaPrikaži na karti🎫 Turističke atrakcijeProvjerite turističke atrakcije u blizini🏨 HosteliProvjerite hostele u blizini🌦 Informacije o vremenuDobijte informacije o vremenu i još mnogo toga iz aplikacije.
