Pulteney Bridge

Pulteney Bridge is a historic bridge located in Bath and North East Somerset, United Kingdom. It is a striking structure, designed to link the city’s main River Avon crossing with Bathwick on the other side of the river. John Wood the Elder, the same designer of the city's iconic Circus, designed the bridge. The three-arched bridge has a distinctive appearance, due to its shops with Georgian style porticoes, unique among bridges in the world. These shops were once popular destinations for locals and visitors alike. Today, the bridge is mainly used as a crossing point over the river. The view of the bridge, both from the banks of the Avon and the top of the bridge, is a favorite among photographers.
