Praça de Dom Duart

Praça de Dom Duart is one of the main public squares in Viseu, Portugal. Located in the heart of the city, this large square is home to a number of historical monuments, most notably the statue of Dom Duarte (Duke of Viseu), for whom the square is named. The Praça also features several other beautiful monuments, such as the Church of Santa Cruz and the Real Jail from the 14th century. The Praça also has an abundance of fountains and several small shops. Visitors can take in the unique architecture around the Praça, or simply sit and enjoy the small cafes and restaurants that surround it.
