Located in beautiful Ranchos Palos Verdes, California is the Point Vicente Lighthouse. Built in 1926, it was installed to protect ships from the treacherous cliffs and provide navigation aid. Visitors to the Lighthouse can explore the grounds and take in the spectacular views of the Pacific coastline and Catalina Island. The Interpretive Center features artifacts, images and exhibits that tell the stories of the area’s history. You can also watch gray whales on their seasonal migration to the nearby bays. Point Vicente Lighthouse is a perfect spot to get great views of the ocean and coastline. There is also a charming trail available, making it a great spot for walking and hiking. Don't miss the historic kiosk, offering unique facts and figures relating to the Lighthouse.
