It is a multi-purpose facility primarily used for ice hockey, basketball, and handball tournaments, as well as concerts and other entertainment events. It is home to the Ice hockey team of the Ice sports association Osnabrück (ESO). The arena has a capacity of 6,500 spectators and offers first class ice-hockey and basketball facilities. The ESO's ice-hockey season goes from August to April and the team plays its home games in the arena. It is well connected by bus lines and parking is available on the premises.
