Manhattan Downtown

The Manhattan Downtown and Empty Sky Memorial is a historic site of great significance in Jersey City, United States. It is a commemoration of the nearly 3,000 lives lost in the 9/11 attacks on two of New York City's most iconic buildings - the World Trade Center. The memorial has two main components - the memorial plaza, which honors those lost with a twisted piece of steel from the World Trade Center tower, and the interpretative walkway, which connects the plaza to Jersey City's Exchange Place and features dramatic facades, a forest of glass obelisks, and an array of searchlights.
