The Manhattan Bridge is a suspension bridge in New York City that stretches from the Brooklyn borough over the East River. It was the first bridge to be built connecting the two boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Designed by Gustav Lindenthal in 1909, the Manhattan Bridge has several distinct features, including four grand stone towers and four iconic cable-stayed piers. It is one of the most important transportation hubs in the city and spans a total of 1,480 feet. It is a great place for a walk, offering stunning views of the New York skyline and the East River. The bridge features dedicated bicycle paths on either side of the structure, making it a great place to walk, bike, and cycle around the city.
