Joffre Lakes Provincial Park

Joffre Lakes Provincial Park is a three-lake provincial park and protected area in the Canadian province of British Columbia, located on the Powder Main FSR in Mount Currie, about 37 miles east of Pemberton. It offers stunning views of glaciers, icefields, and rugged mountain peaks combined with mountain and lake ecosystems. It is a paradise for nature lovers and hikers and is known for its vibrant blue glacier-fed lakes. It offers excellent opportunities for wildlife watching, especially for those looking for eagles, bears, and deer. The Lake of the Peyto Glacier can be reached by a rather demanding 8 miles hike, and gives an incredible view of the glaciated landscape. Joffre Lakes Provincial Park is open year round and camping is available, while magnificent camping spots are available in the nearby wilderness.
