Fjallsárlón

Fjallsárlón is an incredible glacial lagoon located in south east Iceland. The lagoon is located just by the Ring Road in Vatnajökull National Park and stands out with its breathtaking beauty of serene blues and greens. It's the largest lagoon in Iceland and is teeming with small icebergs, shaped by the wind and waves. To experience the true magic of Fjallsárlón, take a boat tour and take in the majestic sights around you as you glide between the icebergs. You can also take a helicopter tour for a birds-eye view of this glacier-carved wonder. There's plenty of accessible walking trails to explore. Make sure to dress warm, though, as the area can be icy and windy. Fjallsárlón should definitely be included in any nature lover's Icelandic itinerary.
