Dry Falls

Dry Falls is located in Highlands, North Carolina. It's a waterfall that falls from an elevation of 75 feet and flows into the Cullasaja River. It's a spectacular sight to see and an extremely popular tourist destination. Its distinguishing feature is the hard rock beneath, which has caused the water to gracefully slice through the river cascading over vertical slabs, creating a natural staircase effect. There are two hiking trails at Dry Falls, one offering a viewing platform of the waterfall and the other leading down to the rocks. Don't forget to bring a camera! The trails are also a great spot for birdwatching and wildlife viewing.
