Chiesa Fortezza di San Pietro

Chiesa Fortezza di San Pietro is an impressive Renaissance-era fortress-church located in Lingueglietta, Italy. The building was constructed from 1510 to 1514 as part of a system of fortification across the Gulf of La Spezia. It was originally used both as a military structure and as a place of worship, and it still serves both functions today. Inside, visitors will find the remains of its original Gothic frescoes and decorations, as well as 16th-century paintings and sculptures. The fortress features a large bell tower with a balcony, which offers a commanding view of the Gulf of La Spezia.
