Berlin's Bridges

Berlin's Bridges are one of the city's most iconic sights. From Altstadt to Adlershof, the city is full of beautiful historical and modern bridges, from small footbridges to long viaducts, connecting neighbourhoods and regions. Just a few steps from the centre, visitors can enjoy an exquisite view of Spree River and its various smaller branches, such as Wilke, Schöneberger, Gertrauden or Ilea. Look for the famous Moleculeman near the Oberbaum bridge - an astonishing 27-meter conceptual artwork. Other interesting places worth visiting are the sparkling Oberbaumbrücke, the oldest bridge of Berlin, the modern Oberwhitebrücke, right next to Berlin's TV Tower and East Side Gallery, or the unique Eiserner Steg - a pedestrian bridge with hundreds of thousands of love padlocks.
