The Window

The Window is an iconic geological formation in Big Bend National Park, United States. It is a horseshoe-shaped limestone arch located at the edge of the Chisos Basin at an elevation of about 5,400 ft. From this viewpoint, visitors get spectacular vistas of the canyons and basins of the Chihuahuan Desert, below. It is also home to diverse wildlife including roadrunners, javelinas, bats, lizards, and birds of prey. The Window is a great area to hike and explore, with various trails leading up to the arch itself. In addition, a picturesque waterfall nearby makes for a stunning photo opportunity.
