The Treasury

The Treasury, in Wadi Musa is an iconic landmark carved into the sheer sandstone walls of the Siq. The Siq is the main entrance to the ancient city of Petra, which the Treasury is located directly within. The Treasury is known for its many detailed facade carvings, built in the Nabataean architectural style. It is a great spot to marvel at the craftsmanship of the people who built this ancient city. At the front of the Treasury there is a small opening where visitors can take a glimpse into it and photograph its beautiful walls. The Treasury is also a great place just to sit and take in all the history of Petra and ponder its secrets.
