Sinterterrassen Gutenberg

Sinterterrassen Gutenberg is an impressive man-made structure located in Lenningen, Germany. The terraces were created in the 1790s, by two local carpenters named Johann Georg Göbel and Johann Friedrich Gutenberg. The terraces were used mainly as a crop and vegetable garden, providing income to the local population. The terraces were declared a protected monument in 1986, and as of 2008, they are still in use. Sinterterrassen Gutenberg boast many unique features, and span roughly 79,000 square meters. The terraces are considered to be an example of dry-stone walling technology, and the walls are align in a neat and orderly manner, giving off an impression of magnificence.
