Rainbow Falls

Rainbow Falls, tucked away in the North Cascade Mountains of Stehekin, WA is a breathtakingly beautiful waterfall. It is most easily reached by boat on Lake Chelan, either from the City of Chelan or from the village of Stehekin via Lady of the Lake ferry. Situated just under two miles from the Stehekin Landing, it is the most easily accessible of the three major waterfalls along the Stehekin River. It baffles the mind upon discovery that no roads reach the falls and that the only way to visit Rainbow Falls is via the lake or by winding paths on foot. The scene at Rainbow Falls is simply stunning – with the waterfall surrounded by rocky gorges and lush greenery, against a backdrop of snow-capped peaks. The roaring sound of the cascading water is sure to fill you with amazement as you observe the stunning show unfolding before your eyes.
