Teotihuacán is an ancient Mesoamerican city located in the state of Mexico. It is known as one of the largest and most impressive archaeological sites in Mexico and was an important religious centre for the Pre-Columbian cultures of Central America. Teotihuacán, meaning “the city of the gods” in Náhuatl, was one of the most important cities in the ancient world during its heyday, between AD 100 and 800.

Teotihuacán consists of a series of impressive structures, including the famous Pyramid of the Sun as well as the Temple of the Moon, the Ciudadela, the Priest's Palace and the Avenue of the Dead connecting the various structures.
