Praça em frente à igreja matriz, or simply known as Prainha by locals, is a beautiful public square in Vargem do Cedro, Brazil. It is situated in close proximity to Igreja Matriz, the centuries-old church and an incredible example of baroque architecture. The square is around 100 years old, having recently undergone renovation.

The square houses a parade ground, playground and lots of green spaces that are perfect for leisurely strolls and picnics. On Sundays, when the Prainha is most crowded, one can witness traditional folk performances and cultural displays. A feast of local delicacies and traditional market stalls is a regular fare. One can also find a few old but unique buildings and monuments dotted around the square, offering fascinating glimpses into the city’s past.
