Ponte do Burgo

Ponte do Burgo is a delightful pedestrian bridge in the town of Pontevedra, Spain. It is the perfect place to enjoy the atmosphere of the Galician river. The bridge was built in 1350 and was used primarily as a defense against invasions by the Spanish. The bridge still stands with its original construction, complete with its permanent stone arches and balconies. An iron bridge was also added in 1872 and is now often used to cross the small stream below. The original bridge rises above the water, giving you a unique view of the surrounding area.
