Parco Degli Acquedotti

Parco Degli Acquedotti is a 10 km park stretching from Rome to the outskirts of modern day Appio Latino. In ancient Rome, this area was used to bring water in from nearby lakes and streams. Today, the park is a great place to explore the stunning aqueducts constructed by the Romans. There are a variety of trails, views, and ruins to explore both in the park itself as well as outside its borders. When in the park, soak in the history as you pass the old Roman landmarks like the Tomb of Eurysaces the Baker and the 2nd-century Temple of Cloacina. This park is located in a quiet area of Rome and is not always crowded, making it a great place to take some time away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.
