Palazzo Vecchio

The Palazzo Vecchio is one of Florence’s most famous landmarks, located in the city’s historic city center. The palace has a long history, having been built in the 1200s on the remains of a fortress of the same name. It served as the seat of Florence’s rulers until the 15th century, when it was turned into a civic museum. Today, it is a symbol of the city’s iconic Renaissance architecture.
