Pakhlavan Makhmoud Mausoleum

Pakhlavan Makhmoud Mausoleum is an architectural complex celebrated as a symbol of Khiva and a major pilgrimage site in Khiva, Uzbekistan. It consists of two buildings (museum building, and tomb), two portals, and a platform for Pilgrims. The walls of the buildings are covered with inscriptions written in Arabic and Persian, each telling a different story. This complex also has a hamam, graveyard, and two mosques. Its decoration was recently restored and is beautiful. If you plan to visit the complex, make sure to read up on the stories and legends associated with it beforehand! Wear appropriate clothing and check if photography is allowed in the area.
