Glattalpsee

Glattalpsee is a tranquil alpine lake located in the municipality of Muotathal in the canton of Schwyz, in Switzerland. It is surrounded by the beautiful Vesenberghorn, Reisighorn, Pfäffiner Horn, Mäderen and Gumenstöcke mountains and is accessible for day hikes from the Ibergeregg or Glaubenberg ski area. Visitors can enjoy a pleasant picnic in the nearby meadows, or take a leisurely swim in the crystal clear lake. The lake is also a great spot to observe the local wildlife such as marmots, foxes, and deer. From November to March, the lake freezes over and offers views of the picturesque snow-capped mountains.
