Gibson's Beach

Gibson's Beach in Carmel-by-the-Sea is a great place to explore the rocky California coastline. Visitors can experience panoramic views of the ocean and nearby beach houses, as well as interesting wildlife and coastal vegetation. There are two separate points for beach access – one further south near Carmel Beach and the other near the San Clemente Creek. All around the beach, there are several pieces of driftwood, and plenty of rocks to explore. The beach is a great place for swimming, sunbathing or a picnic, or just to relax and take in the stunning scenery. You can also spot migrating sea lions and otters in the area. Visit early in the morning to catch a beautiful sunrise over the ocean, or stay later to enjoy a breathtaking sunset.
