Friends of Birch State Park

Friend of Birch State Park is a beautiful park located in Fort Lauderdale, United States. It spans nearly 180 acres and offers plenty of activities and sights for explorers. There is a two-mile jogging path for getting exercise, and multiple picnic areas with grills and benches for relaxing. The park is home to many species of plants and trees, such as the namesake birch trees, mangroves, palms, and more. An observation tower offers excellent views over the park, while a long boardwalk winds through a wetland habitat teeming with birds and other wildlife. A historic treehouse, built in 1929, can also be found here. There are free Wi-Fi zones, as well as a beach volleyball court and a playground for kids. Parking fees apply but the park is free to explore, making it a great destination for budget travelers.
