Dante's View

Dante's View is a scenic overlook in Death Valley National Park in Inyo County, United States. It is a stunning perch 5,475 feet (1,669 meter) above sea level on the Black Mountains, offering visitors and photographers alike an incredible view of one of the hottest, lowest places on earth. From the viewpoint, visitors can see down into Badwater Basin below 5,282 feet (1,610 meters) below sea level, the lowest point in North America. The sweeping view also takes in the Salt Creek and the Panamint Mountain range. On a clear day, the nearby 11,049-foot (3,368 m) Telescope Peak protects nearly the entire expanse of Death Valley National Park.
