Crater Lake is a beautiful lake located in south-central Oregon in the United States. It is the deepest lake in the United States and seventh deepest in the world at 1,949 feet deep. The lake was formed more than 7,700 years ago as a result of a volcanic eruption which created a caldera and filled the area with water.
The lake has clear and deep blue water, surrounded by picturesque cliffs and trees. There are two islands in the middle of the lake, Wizard Island and Phantom Ship. You can take the Rim Drive around the lake and take in all the stunning views. There are many trails around the lake, including a 33-mile loop around the rim, offering beautiful views of the lake and the stunning surrounding nature. The park also has activities like fishing, camping, hiking and ranger-led programs. Crater Lake is a great place to visit for nature lovers, especially photographers!
