Château de Chaumont

Château de Chaumont is a renowned Castle located near the banks of the Loire River in Chaumont-sur-Loire, France. It was constructed in the 10th century by the counts of Blois and served as a royal residential castle for centuries. Today, it is open to the public and hosts an annual garden festival. At the castle, visitors can explore the main court, which consists of the old castle and the new castle with its towers, four turrets, and magnificent ramparts. Inside the castle, visitors can admire the old kitchens, armory, treasury, and great hall and the Renaissance-style chapel. The ground floor is home to various exhibitions, and a large garden surrounding the castle provides stunning views of the Loire valley. There is also a large artificial lake and multiple terraces, parklands, and gardens hosting more than 250 species of trees and 24 sculptures.
