Catedral-Basílica de Santa María de Mallorca

The impressive Cathedral-Basilica of Santa Maria of Mallorca is a must-visit when in Palma, Spain. This 14th century gothic cathedral, conveniently located near the city center, is surrounded by vibrant shops and bustling streets. Its intricate stained-glass windows, arched ceilings, and Neogothic dome give visitors a beautiful glimpse of Mallorca's medieval past. Inside, visitors are able to admire large and colorful paintings, medieval panoramas, and a polyphonic organ from 1891. Don’t miss the octagonal Chapel of Saint Rosalia, facing the altar of La Seu Vella. The Palau de l’Almudaina (Royal Palace of La Almudaina) adjacent to the cathedral, is worth a visit.
