The Brandspuithuisje is an historical fire station in the province of Utrecht, Netherlands. The building, from 1874, is one of the oldest fire stations in the Netherlands and is still a fully functional fire station. Its unique façade is decorated with golden leaves and the original fire department insignia. The Brandspuithuisje is located in IJsselstein, a picturesque town with many historical buildings. Some of these include the Euluvestad Medieval Gate, the Agnieten Chapel, and Goudkoop Castle. This site is popular among photographers due to its unique characteristics. Visitors should remember to be courteous to the crew that runs the fire station at all times.
