Botanical Building

The Botanical Building in Balboa Park San Diego is a great destination for travelers and photographers alike. Constructed in 1915, the Spanish-Renaissance style building was originally built for the 1915 Panama-California Exposition. It has a unique Moorish design, featuring two small domes, balconies, and beautiful gardens. Inside, the building is filled with tropical plants and trees. In 2003, the building underwent renovation to restore its original splendor after years of negligence and poor maintenance. Today, visitors can take pictures and admire the intricate architecture, grand staircase, and beautifully tended gardens. The building is open year-round, free of charge except for special events. It is an iconic landmark that gives San Diego a true old-world charm.
