Alster Fountain

The Alster Fountain in Hamburg, Germany is a two-tiered ornamental fountain built in 1891 to commemorate the centenary of the 1792 Hamburg Constitution. It stands in the center of the Stadtpark, surrounded by meadows and gardens, just outside the city center. The fountain is fed by the nearby Alster Lake and is surrounded by two circular terraces. It is adorned with sculptures and four ornately carved mascarons depicting the four rivers that merge with the lake. Tourists and locals alike can admire the stunning architecture and general harmony of the fountain and its surroundings.
