Parco della Montagnola is a beautiful park located in Bologna, Italy. It was built in 1568 during the Renaissance period and it houses several historical monuments and landmarks, like the Portico of San Luca, a covered walkway measuring 3.7 km in length which links the old city to the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca. The park is dotted with picturesque trees, a pond, and several fountains, and is a popular tourist destination for outdoor activities such as jogging, running, biking, and skating. Visitors can also take in some spectacular views of the city from the park's top. The crowds swell in the warm summer months, making it a great opportunity to meet new people and mingle with locals at the park's terrace cafes.
