Santa Caterina Lake is a picturesque glacial lake located in the Dolomites of northern Italy. The lake is surrounded by emerald mountains that reach a height of almost 3000 meters and are often covered in thick cloud formations. Santa Caterina Lake can also be viewed from Tre Cime di Lavaredo, a nearby mountain range with sky-scraping walls of endemic rock slabs. The lake is a favorite spot for outdoor adventurers, offering a variety of activities ranging from kayaking and wind-surfing to hiking and swimming. There is a hotel located close to the lake and a few restaurants serving the local dishes. The landscape is beautiful and the locals friendly, making it a great getaway destination.
