Leuchtfeuer Travemünde is located in northern Germany, in the city of Lübeck. It is a scenic spot with a beautiful view of the river Trave, the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Lübeck. It is an ideal place for those who want to disembark and explore the local landscape. On the beach visitors can spot a beautiful old lighthouse, built in 1902 so that the ships can be guided in the dark. The lighthouse, standing at over 39 metres tall, is one of the oldest in Germany, and a great photo subject. The nearby Walk of Honour is an important local landmark since it commemorates the dead of Lübeck during both World Wars. On Sundays, the Travemünd shore is filled with people out for a stroll, so make sure to visit it on that day for a unique atmosphere.
