Zugspitze

The Zugspitze is the highest peak in Germany located in Grainau, Bavaria. At 2,962 meters, it offers an opportunity to immerse yourself in the alpine world and witness spectacular views, stretching over Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Germany. From the peak you can take an elevator to the peak station and catch a cable car to the foot of the mountain. The Park an der Schneide cableway takes you up to 2625 m high, where you can hike through the mountaintop's larch trees and enjoy the stunning panorama. The lake Eibsee lies in the foothills and the area is a major ski resort in winter. You can also explore the Zugspitze Glacier, with several trails for all skill levels. There is also a restaurant for a delicious bite with a stunning view. From here you can explore the peak’s hidden nooks and crannies as you make your way up the mountain. Additionally, the area is home to some of the best hiking trails in Bavaria, offering great views of the landscape below.
