Torre dell'Orologio

The Torre dell'Orologio, located in Bologna, Italy, is one of the city's main landmarks. It has stood tall for centuries and is a symbol of the city's evolution. The clock tower is constructed of limestone and stands at 49 meters tall. Inside the clock is an astronomical clock, made from bronze and set to the sun's rays. The tower also includes the remains of a pre-existing tower and you can spot some of the original stone gargoyles perched around the outside of the tower. The clock is a popular sightseeing spot, with many visitors taking the time to climb the 146 steps to the top and take in the view of the city.
