Staubbach Waterfall

Staubbach Waterfall is one of the most impressive waterfalls in Switzerland and one of the few cascading in a natural amphitheater. At a staggering 297 meters in height, it is the highest waterfall in the Bernese Oberland region. With 50,000 liters of water roaring over the rocky cliffs, this is one of the most powerful sights created by nature. Known by many as the 'Niagara of Switzerland', the Staubbach Waterfall is an incredible sight to behold. The best way to view the breathtaking sight is to see it from either one of the three bridges which span the falls or, for a different angle, from the meadow below. For a unique experience, visitors can also hike up to the base of the waterfall where rock climbers will find a challenge in the rocky terrain. If visitors don’t feel like hiking, they can take the cable car to the top of the cliffs and enjoy panoramic views of the waterfalls and the valley.
