Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi is a stunningly beautiful place of worship. With 82 domes and vibrant colours, it is an architecture masterpiece that stands tall and proud in Abu Dhabi’s skyline. One of the world’s largest mosques, it can house up to 40,000 worshippers at any given time and includes 4 minarets towering at 107m (351ft). Whether you’re inside or outside, the mosque is a sight to behold. The grand prayer hall is adorned with marble and semi-precious stones and the walls and ceilings are lavishly decorated with carvings, especially along the main qibla wall. The area around the mosque provides an extravagant photo opportunity, with lush green gardens, reflecting pools, bustling fountains and elaborate courtyards. Camera-toting photographers should keep in mind that taking pictures without permission is strictly forbidden in sacred areas.
