Ragusa

Ragusa is a beautiful hilltop town in the province of Sicily, Italy. It is situated in the Val di Noto and is renowned for its architecture, which was totally rebuilt after the 1693 earthquake. The town is divided into two sections, Ragusa Ibla and Ragusa Superiore, both of them full of historic buildings, churches and palazzos. These two sections of the town are connected by the Corso Italia, a historical street shaded by trees. The most important monuments of Ragusa are Duomo di San Giorgio, the 18th century Church of San Giuseppe and the Palazzo dei Cavalieri. The nearby valleys offer some amazing panoramic views of the whole area. With its ancient squares, beautiful churches and stunning architecture, Ragusa offers a unique and memorable experience.
