Horace Wilkinson Bridge

The Horace Wilkinson Bridge is a spectacular cable-stayed bridge spanning the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Opened in 1982, the bridge is a marvel of modern engineering. It carries U.S. Highway 190 over the river, offering an Iconic view of the city skyline for motorists. The bridge features a single main span of 810 feet (247.19 m) connected to two 420-foot (128.01 m) back spans, and rises 175 feet (53.34 m) above the river. At night it is especially breathtaking, with its white diamond-shaped tubing adorned with colorful LED lights. The bridge provides a gateway to explore the history, art and culture of Baton Rouge, the state’s capital city.
