Gorica

Gorica is a fascinating mountain located in the municipality of Berat, in central Albania. Considered a national monument of culture, the mountain peaks at 1,200 metres. It is characterized by steep slopes, deep ravines and beautiful areas of oak and pine trees covering the summit. The many meadows atop the mountain form a unique landscape, while the Mediterranean climate keeps the area mild and pleasant. Visiting Gorica is an excellent opportunity to explore both nature and culture. The highest point of the mountain offers breathtaking views of the town of Berat, which has been declared a UNESCO Heritage Site. On the mountain itself there are several old churches and monasteries to explore, including the well-known Church of Shën Dropulli. Due to its unique topography and cultural heritage, Gorica is excellent for photography, walking or simply enjoying the scenery.
