Giau Pass

Giau Pass, or Passo Giau, is one of the most scenic drive in the Dolomites, Italy, and is located in Colle Santa Lucia. At 2236 meters above sea level, it is one of the highest vehicular pass in the Dolomite Alps. Located right at the border of provinces Belluno and Cortina (in Veneto and South Tyrol, respectively), the pass connects the villages Cortina and Alpe di Siusi. The road offers breathtaking view of panoramic landscapes framed by soaring rock spires and rugged peaks, the closest being Rock Croda Da Lago. Visitors can enjoy alpine meadows, grazing sheep, and a plenty of hiking trails away from bustling cities. Tourists can also explore nearby attractions such as a Piani Eterni cable car, a breathtaking hike to rocky peaks and small fishing lakes, and the Sasso Di Sesto nature reserve.
