The Adler Planetarium in Chicago is an essential stop for travelers wanting to check out the incredible skyline of the city. Located right along the shores of Lake Michigan, the views of Chicagoland from the planetarium’s terraces and domes are nothing short of breathtaking, showcasing the city’s bustling architecture and the Chicago River winding through it. The terrace outside Adler’s west dome is particularly good for sunset photography and panoramic shots, notably free of obstructions, while the east dome is better for capturing the sunrise. There’s also the Sky-Lounge, located on the west side of the planetarium, giving an uninterrupted angle towards the city.
