Cardiff Castle

Cardiff Castle is a medieval castle located in the city of Cardiff, United Kingdom. It was originally built in the 11th century as a Norman `motte and bailey' castle. Over successive centuries it was enlarged and remodelled, eventually becoming a lavish gothic revival mansion. Today, it is one of the city's most prominent and popular tourist attractions.

The castle grounds host a number of attractions and activities, including tours of the interior of the castle, guided walks around the site, and stunning exterior views. Inside the castle is a suite of beautifully decorated and furnished state rooms. Some of the highlights include the medieval Black Tower, the Gothic motifs in the State Dining Room, and the intricate wood carvings in the Winter Smoking Room. The castle also has a number of gardens, including the Castle wall walk, which is a great place for enjoying views over the city.
