Campanario de San Marcos

Campanario de San Marcos, located in Venezia, Italy is an ornate Romanesque style bell tower aptly named after its home city of Venice. Built in 1514 and standing 120 meters high, it was designed as a landmark for Venetian sailors to navigate towards and take in as a grand welcome. The tower is visible from all parts of the city and its 18th century bell is rung daily to mark the hour. The top of the tower offers stunning views of the city's lagoon and its many churches, altogether providing an overview of the entire city. A draw for both tourists and Venetian locals alike, Campanario de San Marcos is one of the most majestic sights in the city.
